As the final touches are made to North Union Street, the Wayne Street Rotary had its first traffic and pedestrians. High above the Olean Fire Department’s Ladder Truck was used as a platform to tape the event for an upcoming video. Stay tuned! Olean Oilers owners Brian and Rene' O'Connell flank Brock Blovsky (from Olean) and Mayor Aiello who threw out the first pitch. The Oilers went on to win the game and the NYCBL championship! Members of the Class of 2020 are recognized as the school year ends. Members of the class 2028 are recognized at a pre-school ceremony at the end of the school year. City employees install the base for Bradner Stadium’s new flag pole donated by the American Legion. The City of Olean Neighborhood Preservation Committee litter patrol has deployed. Della Moore leads the first tour of Historical African-American Olean on May 7. The tour started at the corner of Union and Laurens, the site where Sara Johnson was found.
