In the next couple of weeks, the City of Olean Department of Public Works and its contractor will begin the 2nd phase of water line replacement on Washington Street (from N 10th St to N 15th St). Once this work is completed, the contractor will begin repaving North 4th Street (from Washington Street to West Sullivan Street) and Washington Street (from 4th Street to 15th Street).

Only local traffic will be permitted on the street but there may be times the street is shut down to allow certain work to be undertaken. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes.

The anticipated completion of this project is July 1, 2021.
