City of Olean

City of Olean, Youth & Recreation Department is accepting applications for:

  • Certified Lifeguards – for William 0. Smith Recreation Center and Franchot Wading Pools    $17-18 p/hr.
    (City will reimburse toward lifeguard certification upon completion of season.  CPR class provided by City.)
  • Recreation Attendants – for William 0. Smith Recreation Center    $14.20 p/hr.
  • Recreation Leaders – for summer recreation program (late June-mid August) $14.20 p/hr.
  • Recreation Specialists – for Housing Courts (West, Martha Avenue & Alder Street – late June-mid August)    $14.85 p/hr.    (Must have 1 year of college credit)

All applicants must be at least 16 years of age by June 1, 2023.    Positions are seasonal with no benefits. Applications are available in the Olean Municipal Building, Room 109.
