302 W Sullivan St Structure Fire
On Wednesday May 10th at 22:01 the City of Olean Fire Department was dispatched to the address of 302 W Sullivan St for a structure fire. Crews arrived on scene with a light smoke conditions come from the first and second floor of the three story apartment building. Crews stretched a 1 ¾ hose line to a first story apartment and began extinguishment of the fire while crews simultaneously search the remaining apartments. The fire was contained to the apartment of origin and damage was limited to an approximately $5,000. 3 members of the Olean Police department were treated for smoke inhalation, two pet dogs perished in the fire and one occupant was displaced as a result the fire .The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time. The City of Olean fire department would like to thank the city of Olean Police department for quickly assisting with evacuating the tenants, Trans AM ambulance for providing Emergency medical care at the scene and The District 4 coordinator Kelly Karast.
