DPW Laborer (Part-Time)

The City of Olean Department of Public Works is seeking a reliable person for the position of Part-Time Laborer.  Duties include working in rain gardens and clearing snow from sidewalks.  You must be 18 years of age or older.

  • $14.20/hour (up to 25 hours/week).
  • Driver's license required.
  • City of Olean residents given preferred status.
  • This position is part-time with no benefits.

Youth & Rec Assistant Manager (Part-Time)

Youth & Rec Openings (Part-Time)

The City of Olean Youth Bureau and Recreation Department is accepting applications for the following positions:

  • Certified Lifeguards for the William 0. Smith Recreation Center and Franchot wading pools, $17-18/hr (City will reimburse toward lifeguard certification upon completion of season, CPR class provided by City)
  • Recreation Attendants for the William 0. Smith Recreation Center, $14.20/hr
  • Recreation Leaders for summer recreation program (late June-mid August), $14.20/hr
  • Recreation Specialists for housing courts (West, Martha Ave & Alder St, late June-mid August), $14.85/hr (must have 1 yr of college credit)

Parking Enforcement Officer (Part-Time)

City Court Judge (Part-Time)

The City of Olean will be looking to appoint a Part Time City Court Judge effective January 1, 2023.

The Acting City Court Judge shall be an attorney admitted to practice law in New York State for at least five years as of the date he or she commences the duties of office, and be a resident of the City of Olean. The appointment will be a six year term.
