Summer Employment (Part-Time)
The City of Olean Youth Bureau & Recreation Department is currently accepting employment applications for the following positions:
Certified Lifeguards - Franchot Wading Pool $18.00 to 19.00/hr.
Must possess a current valid NYS Lifeguard certificate and First Aid certificate.
Recreation Leaders (late June-early August) - $15/hr
For summer recreation program.
You must be 16 years of age or older by June 1 to apply. All positions are seasonal, part-time with no benefits. Electrician's Assistant (Full-Time)
The City of Olean Department of Public Works is seeking qualified candidates for appointment to a full-time competitive position of Electrician's Assistant. Permanent appointment will be made only after examination and successful placement on Civil Service List. Minimum qualifications as established by the Civil Service Commission mandate that applicants must have two years’ of experience working in the electrical trade or graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or trade school with Associate's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of training & experience. Candidates for this position must have a New York State Driver's License at time of appointment. City of Olean residents preferred.
