NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS

112 South 1st Street – Olean, NY
The City of Olean Department of Fire, Buildings, and Emergency Services is seeking bids for repairs to the east wall parapet located at 112 South 1st Street, Olean NY 14760. Sealed bids will be received at the Office of the Department of Public Works, Room 206 of the Olean Municipal Building, 101 East State Street, Olean, NY, 14760 until 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 24, 2023, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Bids must be submitted on the prescribed Proposal Form and must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond for not less than five (5) percent of the gross amount of bid. Each bidder shall submit their bid in a sealed envelope marked on the outside thereof: “FIRE STATION ONE BUILDING REPAIRS”.
A Bond for the full amount of the Contract will be required of the successful Bidder to secure faithful performance of the Contract and for the payment of all persons performing labor or furnishing materials in connection therewith. A Bond in a similar amount will be required as guarantee of the work for one year after completion.
An executed Non-Collusive Bidding Certification shall accompany each proposal. Failure to provide this certification will result in not having the bid read. No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 45 days after opening. The City of Olean reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive technicalities, or re-advertise if the best interest of the City of Olean will be served thereby. EOE
