City Loop Monday through Friday Route Changes,
Addition of City Loop Saturday Service,
SBU Shuttle Bus Route Changes, and
Elimination of the Downtown Circulator Route

Olean Area Transit System (OATS)
Effective Date: June 1, 2024

Public notice is hereby made that the City of Olean is seeking public comment on the changes to stop locations in the City Loop Saturday bus route.

The City Loop Monday through Friday bus route has been modified to include a St. Bonaventure (SBU) bus stop and associated time modifications.

The SBU Thursday and Friday evening shuttle service will end at 11:00 p.m. instead of at 12:00 a.m.

The Downtown Circulator Route will be eliminated in its entirety.

Comments on the proposed elimination and addition of bus stops as well as associated route modifications are invited from the general public and human service agencies.  Interested parties may comment on the changes or obtain more details about services of the Olean Area Transit System by contacting or writing to:

If you wish to comment on the proposed bus route changes, you must provide your comments within ten days of the publication of this notice. Your requests and/or comments must be forwarded to the above person. The City of Olean will consider all comments received before implementing the proposed changes.
