Autumn Yard Waste Disposal Options

October 3, 2022—Olean—William J. Aiello, Mayor of the City of Olean, has announced that the Front Street City Lot, near the intersection of Seneca Street in Olean, will be opened on the following two
dates in October for residents to dispose of yard waste:

Saturday, October 8, 2022      10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 22, 2022    10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The lot will be opened for Olean residents only and identification with proof of residency will be required. The lot will be supervised by a City of Olean employee. Paper bags are allowed but please no plastic bags.

“Autumn is a beautiful time of the year in our region, but as the leaves change, there is also a great deal of yard waste as residents like to keep their flowers blooming for as long as possible. I hope this alternative will help our residents with their gardening tasks,” Mayor Aiello said.

The Department of Public Works will be picking-up leaves later in the month, please look for the notification from the Department or check the city’s website in October for a more exact time.
