117 South 3rd Street Structure Fire
On Sunday, April 30th at approximately 1:50 in the afternoon, City of Olean Firefighters were alerted to a structure fire with smoke coming from the roof. The City of Olean Fire Department responded initially with two engines and one ambulance. Fire crews were on scene within three minutes, found smoke coming from the interior walls. Fire crews utilized hand tools and thermal imaging to find the origin of the fire, open walls and extinguish the fire. Fire was located and under control within five minutes. No injuries were reported and three total occupants were displaced as a result of this incident.
The City of Olean Fire Department units were assisted by Deputy 4, TransAm Ambulance, City of Olean Code Enforcement, and Believers Chapel for assistance with displaced residents.
