Groundbreaking for Olean Splash Park

December 13, 2024—Olean–The Groundbreaking Ceremony for the  City of Olean Splash Park took place on December 12, 2024 at 2:00 at the future site in War Vets Park.

Those attending the event included Olean Mayor William J. Aiello, Council President John Crawford, Alderman Jason Panus (Ward 2), Alderwoman Sonya McCall (Ward 4), George Filgrove representing Senator George Borrello, Ben Slotman and Brad Camp representing City of Olean Department of Public Works, Kris Shewairy and John Andhor representing City of Olean Department of Parks and Recreation, Bryent Johnson of PV Paving and Concrete, LLC, and Tom Swift from CPL.

“After a long permitting process, the City of Olean is pleased to be able to start the construction phase of the Splash Park.  It will not only enhance our park system but will enrich the quality of life for our residents,” Mayor Aiello said.

The Splash Park is projected to be completed and opened by Memorial Day of 2025.
