The City of Olean Department of Public Works is seeking qualified candidates for appointment to a full-time position of Water Maintainer.   Minimum qualifications as established by the Civil Service Commission state that applicants must have at least one year of experience as a plumber’s helper or two years as a laborer in the maintenance of a water distribution system.   Candidates for this position must have a valid NYS Commercial Driver’s License.  City of Olean residents preferred.  Applications will be accepted until Friday, February 24, 2023, and can be obtained from the Office of Department of Public Works, 101 E State St, Municipal Building-Room 206, by calling (716) 376-5650, or from our website at www.cityofolean.org.  Interested applicants should submit a completed application to:
